Employment attorney Jennifer Messina is an associate attorney at Madsen, Prestley & Parenteau, LLC. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, and also has a Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University. Jennifer is committed to using her legal experience and training to advocate for the rights of individuals whose workplace rights have been violated.
At UCONN, Jennifer gained experience through judicial internships with the Honorable Michael P. Shea, District Court Judge for the District of Connecticut, the Commission for Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), and the Center for Children’s Advocacy. Jennifer was also on the Executive Board of the Connecticut Law Review where she served as its Assistant Managing Editor, and she was a member of the Public Interest Law Group.
Prior to law school, Jennifer had a long career in the non-profit sector where she developed educational programming for vulnerable youth and their families in New London, CT. She was also responsible for the program’s public relations, grant writing, and legislative advocacy efforts.
