Our History
The employment law firm known today as Madsen, Prestley & Parenteau, LLC was established in 1998 by attorneys Will Madsen and Peter Prestley. A few years before, both attorneys had decided to leave positions at large law firms that were focused primarily on representing corporate interests. They wanted to follow a different path: representing individuals, not corporations, in employment and benefit matters. After forming their individual practices, they decided to join forces.
In 2000, they were joined by employment attorney Jacques Parenteau, who had also stepped away from a role at a large law firm. Since that time, the firm has concentrated exclusively on representing workers in a broad spectrum of employment matters from employment discrimination and wrongful termination to whistleblower and retaliation cases, and much more.
Our Philosophy
The firm was established with a singular goal: to give a competitive edge to individual workers who needed skilled, sophisticated legal representation in employment and benefit matters. Corporate employers have access to large employment law firms and teams of attorneys. We believe that individual employees also deserve access to the highest quality representation.
At Madsen, Prestley & Parenteau, LLC, we have carefully assembled a team of skilled attorneys and staff who share our vision. Driven by our commitment to justice for our clients, we don’t just work hard, we work smart—leveraging technology and top legal resources to pursue our clients’ objectives.
Our Promise
Madsen, Prestley & Parenteau, LLC is a dynamic, adaptable, results-oriented firm. But we never lose sight of the reason behind our tireless advocacy: our clients, their experiences, and their courage in standing up for themselves and others.
